Million Penny Project -

The Friends of the Wixom Library is launching a "Million Penny Project" in April to benefit the Library. The year-long goal is to raise $10,000 which will be used to purchase a variety of technological equipment for patrons to use.

2nd Annual Snowman Photo Contest Winner Announced -

The Parks & Recreation Dept. announced the Annual Snowman Photo Contest Winner at the April 9, 2013 City Council Meeting. Prizes were generously donated by Total Sports and Dairy Queen. Participants used a great deal of creativity and imagination.

Ford Sells Portion of Former Wixom Assembly Plant -

Ford Motor Company has sold 239 acres of the former Wixom Assembly Plant to Trident Barrow Management, LLC, a unit of Barrow Development. Demolition of the 239 acres will begin by the end of March.

Demolition of Historic Ford Wixom Assembly Plant Begins -

The idled Wixom Plant is in the process of being razed in preparation of a bright new future. The site is being redeveloped for potential buyers and other interested parties. Once details are finalized, Mayor Hinkley will outline the property's fate.
