The Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) is a thorough and detailed presentation of the City's financial condition. It reports on the City's activities and balances for each fiscal year. Wixom's Fiscal Year ends on June 30 of each year. The audits were done by Plante & Moran for these audit years. Comprehensive Audit Financial Reports were prepared by the City of Wixom's Finance Department.
This Comprehensive Annual Financial Report is intended to provide our citizens, taxpayers, customers, and investors with a general overview of the City of Wixom’s finances and to show the City of Wixom’s accountability for the money it receives. The City's CAFR is available online. Information in the CAFR has not been updated for developments subsequent to the date of the independent auditor’s report. In addtion, prior year CAFRs should be viewed for historical reference only and are segregated under the view all link below as part of the City's library or archive section of the website.
The CAFR is presented in three sections:
- Introductory section which includes transmittal letter.
- Financial section which includes the independent auditor's report and contains management's discussion and analysis, government-wide financial statements, fund financial statements, notes to the financial statements, required supplementary information, combining financial statements, and schedules.
- Statistical section which includes additional financial, economic, and demographic information.
The City has received the Government Financial Officers Association (GFOA) Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for six consecutive years.
