The Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for the development, maintenance and operation of the City's park system, overseeing the rental of community facilities such as parks and the Community Center as well as the development and coordination of recreation programs and community events.

Rental Facilities 

Our Community Center is available to rent for your special event. We welcome small meetings, large meetings, bridal showers, engagement parties and wedding receptions up to 220 people. A combination of comfortable surroundings and moderate prices make this the perfect choice for your engagement.

Parks

Our 7 different parks each have something unique to enhance the quality of life for all residents! Most parks connect to our Wixom Trail System and are easily accessible by car, foot, bike, skate, etc. Many have facilities available to rent for your gathering or event.  Visit our parks today and step up to health - It starts in Parks!

Parks & Recreation Commission

Serves as an advisory board to the City Council and Parks & Recreation Department on the recreational needs of the City and assists in the planning and implementation of recreational events and park development for Wixom residents. 

CDBG

The Community Development Block Grant Fund contains monies allocated annually to the City of Wixom for the reimbursement from the Federal Community Block programs, which is administered by Oakland County. These funds are utilized for the development and completion of projects that serve the needs of persons of low to moderate income within the City of Wixom.
