Planning Staff 

The City's provides Planning & Zoning services through the use of a Planning Consultant. Wixom's Planning team offers review meetings for applicants Mondays and Wednesdays by appointment, and are also available to answer any questions you may have. Application & Implementation 

If approved, any implementation of all plans should conform to what was approved by the Planning Commission.  It is prudent for property owners to discuss the plan with the City's Planning staff, neighbors living in the area of the planned changes, a financial institution, and a design professional before moving through this process.

Planning Commission

The Planning Commission is responsible for ensuring the City’s Master Plan for Future Land Use (see Future Land Use Map associated with the Master Plan). Zoning Ordinances are implemented through site plan review and ordinance amendments. The Commission also makes recommendations to the City Council and City Manager on all matters affecting the physical development of the City.
