CAMP 911
Summer 2024
July 29 - August 2, 2024
Camp 911 is a week-long summer camp for Wixom residents 9-11 years old.
Students participate in Search and Rescue, Fire Drills, Basic First Aid, Fire Hose Handling and Extinguisher Training.

The Wixom Fire Department sponsors several events during the year to educate the community concerning methods of preventing fires.
Fall
Fire Prevention Week Activities
Each fall, members of the Wixom Fire Department travel to Wixom and Loon Lake Elementary Schools and Wixom Christian School. The firefighters present safety programs to all students (including for special needs students) in kindergarten through fifth grade to coincide with National Fire Prevention Week.
Summer
Camp 911
Fifth graders who are residents of Wixom have the opportunity to learn about fire safety, first aid, and firefighting equipment and activities in Camp 911. The week-long day camp, which is free of charge, is held at the Wixom Fire Station. Registration forms are available in the City newsletter each Spring. Call (248) 624-1055 for more information.

Winter
Breakfast With Santa
The Wixom Firefighters Foundation presents their annual Breakfast with Santa. This social event is held at the Wixom Community Center. Activities include a pancake breakfast and a visit with Santa for all children ages 10 and under. To help the less fortunate during the holiday season, the Wixom Firefighters Foundation collects non-perishable food items at this event for distribution to local food banks. Space is limited to 500 children.
